Happy Father's Day!

My Dad is out of town today so I couldn't wish him a Happy Father's Day in person, but I wanted to tell him that we're thinking of him today, and we're so grateful for him!

Free Krisyp Kreme Doughnuts!

The Orem Krispy Kreme is having an ugly tie contest. Simply bring an ugly tie into the store (which they will keep) and fill out their form and they'll give you a dozen glazed doughnuts for free!! (This week only.)

Our trip

I promise I will blog about our trip as soon as I can! Our computer died this week so I haven't had any access to my files or photos. I'm hoping to figure something out this week!!

We saw Disney's new movie UP while we were in St George.

It was so great! We all loved it!

Hiking today

Real at Rio Tinto

Our soccer season is over.
(Thankfully!)
We decided to end the season by attending a professional soccer game.

We went to see Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto stadium.

We had great seats!

Julia, of course, had to bring her soccer dog Rocky!

Star Wars hair

Wow, I haven't posted in quite a while! We've been crazy busy around here with soccer, teacher appreciation (I'm the room mother), my new Primary calling (1st counselor), still a den leader for scouts, and orders (this is the big time eater). C.R.A.Z.Y.!!

But I wanted to take just a minute to post something a little funny.

Every single day Julia wants a ponytail in her hair. I think she likes the fact that it's fast, and it keeps her hair out of her face. I got away with pig-tails one day. And after repeated requests from me for something different she finally relented.

She asked for Qui Gon hair!

What's in the laundry today?

Not my laundry room, but isn't it cute?


Remember my last laundry post? Well I've topped it, big time.

Today when I pulled the clothes out of the washing machine and loaded them into the dryer I found our mp3 player!

And when I pulled the same load out of the dryer
I found Julia's watch!

Yikes!

PS I can't believe it but they are both still working!!!

Bike ride to the lake

We are so glad that our 8 inches of snow from last week have melted!!!

Saturday was one of those perfect Spring days.

We decided to ride our bikes on the Provo River Parkway down to Utah Lake.

The trail was around 8 miles.

This part of the trail had tons of bridges. It was nice being able to go under the traffic and not worry about busy streets! Though it did slow us down a bit-- the kids preferred to walk their bikes on the steep hills going into and coming out of the under-bridge areas.

We found a beautiful spot to stop and have lunch.

It was wonderful seeing signs of Spring everywhere!

Towards the end of the trail there are lots of open fields and pastures.

And we finally made it to the lake!
