I hear you about how those books take FOREVER. But, yes, once they are done, it's so exciting to sit back and enjoy how great it turned out. I love it! You have some great photos and great memories from Chase's first year! I always wish I had taken better/more pictures, but yours all look great! He will love this as he grows up.

Yes, you order a real book. They are pricey, but they let you stack coupons and I also had a credit with them so it wasn't too bad.
