On Thursday we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at John and Ange's house, but I forgot to take pictures. So here's what I took at the Saturday Salt Lake dinner (sorry I didn't take more!): This was the same day as the BYU/Utah game so the kids wore their BYU attire, and I didn't even suggest it!
Some cute turkey cookies that Ethan made, but he didn't want to be in the picture.
And some fun Fall pictures from our backyard:
We're off to Costa Rica on Wednesday, Mel is staying here with the kids (THANK YOU!!), so we'll update with more pictures when we're back!
Yes, this is the game that was right after Ethan's baptism. They were lucky to get such great weather in November! Ethan had a great time and wants to go again soon. And a shot with Aunt Melodie, she hadn't been to a game in a long time and she had a great time too!
I'd love to have one of those cute pictures where all the kids are coordinated with a theme, I've seen Star Wars families, super hero families, etc, but our kids just aren't into that. Julia was going to be Violet from the Incredibles, but she wasn't allowed to wear a mask or face paint to school, so she decided to be a cowboy instead! She even mastered a cute western accent the other night when she was pretending to be a Sheriff. Her teacher at school was a cowboy too, so I think she enjoyed that they matched. Here's Julia's picture at school after the Halloween parade: And Ethan's picture in his classroom after the parade: Here's the kids before we went trick-or-treating:
The weather was great this year (no snow like last year!), and the kids had a great time trick-or-treating. We went around our neighborhood first, then went to Kristen's birthday dinner, and went trick-or-treating again in their neighborhood. The kids still have some candy left too!
Ethan was baptized on Saturday, November 3rd. Derek and Ethan had to go to a scout activity at 9:00 at Home Depot, so they met us at the church at 9:45. It was a busy day! The meeting was wonderful, Melodie and Mom gave talks and they did a great job! Derek, Ethan, and Melodie had to leave soon after it had ended to go the the BYU football game. It was Ethan's first game, and he had a great time! Here's Derek and Ethan right before the baptism.
