Rob- when we had to replace the dishwasher it cracked and broke the tiles right in front of it. They don't sell that exact tile anymore so we knew we'd have to replace the floor sometime. We also hate how the kitchen floor was so much higher than the other floors (because instead of ripping out the original linoleum they just put wood and more linoleum on top of it). We got new countertops this week and Derek decided it was time to do the floor too so we can make the kitchen all nice. I will be very glad when it's done!!

What is going on with the floor? Why did you have to rip everything up?
