I went to a funeral today. A wonderful woman who lived in our neighborhood passed away last week. I had worked with her when I was in Young Women and she was the YW camp director. She was always really upbeat and cheerful, she loved the young women and everyone could tell. She has been battling breast cancer for a long time, but she died from complications during a surgery for a broken leg-- she had suffered many broken bones recently since her bones had become brittle from all of the chemo and radiation she had received. She has a daughter who just graduated from high school, and a 13 year old daughter too. It's just so sad that these girls have lost their mother, and that her husband lost his wife! But we are glad that she is in a better place and that she doesn't have to suffer anymore.
